Planet Comicon Kansas City

My application for a booth at Kansas City was accepted!!! This will usher forth a new era for me as an artist in two ways: this will be my first larger convention to get a taste of the real world, as well as my first actual "earned" spot - as in I had to apply and be approved rather than just purchase the spot.
This is an awesome opportunity, and from I've seen of the convention online it looks like a lot of fun! This is the biggest show in the area for quite a ways, hopefully there's a great turnout.

Albuquerque Comic Con

I will be setting up shop in the home of Walter White on January 13th, 2023! I don't really know what to expect from this convention. I've never attended, and have only been to Albuquerque a handful of times. I'm glad there's another convention in the Rocky Mountain area that's available during such a dead time of the year. Seems like an odd time to schedule it, but it works for me!
I'll have time to finish polishing off some of my current works in progress, and develop my portfolio for bigger conventions next year. I look forward to getting perspective on different conventions and becoming a familiar face in the scene!

Colorado Springs Comic Con

This convention was a success! With the convention scene still finding it's legs after covid, the turnout this year was pretty similar to last year. With solid attendance comes all the things you expect from a convention like great artists and cosplay, which are the things I enjoy the most.
Colorado conventions struggle to attract big names like some more recognizable and established shows on the coasts, but it's nice to have a decently sized option nearby. There are many people like me who aren't really there for the celebrities, and it gives small creators an outlet in a somewhat remote region for conventions. It doesn't have as many of the attractions, but it's still totally possible to have a good time and find some cool people and stuff.
While this artist alley cost more to table at than comparable shows, hopefully that is indicative of the showrunners making strides to build up the talent and credibility of the convention in the future.
